tips + tricks
Skin and Hair Basics: Show up with a fresh face and clean, moisturized skin. No need for heavy makeup unless we talked about it! Also, come with clean, styled hair and bring any products you might need for quick touch-ups.
Nails Matter: Keep your nails looking neat—either natural or with clear/neutral polish is great! Avoid chipped polish, and take care of your hands and feet since they might show in photos.
Shoes, Shoes, Shoes: Bring a few pairs of shoes to match your outfits (heels, sneakers, or whatever we talked about). Give them a quick wipe down beforehand—clean shoes look way better in close-up shots!
Accessories: Less is more here! Bring simple, classic pieces like small earrings or a delicate necklace, unless we’ve planned for something bolder. We want to keep the focus on you!
Undergarments: Neutral, seamless undergarments are your best friend. If you’ll be wearing something strapless or form-fitting, make sure you’ve got the right ones to match.
Get Rested & Hydrated: Try to get a good night’s sleep before the shoot and drink plenty of water so you feel your best. Bring along a water bottle and maybe a light snack to keep your energy up.
Practice Poses: If you’re new to this, don’t stress! It can help to look at some poses online or practice in front of a mirror—you’ll feel more confident and ready to shine. When we’re shooting, try to keep things moving! Mix up your poses, change your angles, and give a variety of expressions. Avoid sticking to just one face or gesture; experimenting will help us find the best shots. Don’t be afraid to try something playful or unexpected—it’s all about having fun and seeing what works!
Be On Time: Plan to arrive a little early so you have time to settle in, adjust your outfits, or get any last-minute touch-ups. Being relaxed and ready makes everything more fun!
Ask Questions: Don’t be afraid to ask about anything you’re unsure of! This is a team effort, and we’re here to help you look and feel amazing.
Outfit Prep: Make sure your clothes are clean and free of wrinkles! Bring them on hangers or in garment bags so they stay nice. Do not to wear the outfits you’ll be photographed in to the shoot—they might get wrinkled during travel.
